But all of the sudden, it seems that everyone who is involved with Black Rock Shooter started crying…
Hmm, I wonder why?
Not only Kohata, but also Kagari who happened to remember the times spent together with Yomi…
There’s also Strength, lending her hand to Mato while encouraging Yuu to do the same along with Black Gold Saw…
And finally Yomi, who once had Mato to lean on, started to rekindle the times spent with her and decided to lend Mato a hand as Dead Master.
With the power of the rainbows and the painful emotions of their friendship between the five girls, it then was turned into a weapon…
A weapon that is so powerful, it can connect hearts to those who are lonely…
It can destroy Insane Black Rock Shooter as the representation of loneliness…
And it can bring color to the now-connected worlds that was once separated by their lonely hearts!
Sorry for making this up, but this is how I analyzed how this episode played out (and the series as a whole) with themes of friendship and emotional struggle. But hey, at least Mato (as Black Rock Shooter) defeated Insane Black Rock Shooter!
Of course, there’s the case of Yuu who still don’t want to go back to the real world…
Then again, Strength is happy that she has friends like Mato to lean on before turning her body to ash.
And before turning to dust, Strength wants Yuu to do the same like she did in the real world so that Yuu will never be lonely again. Yup, I guess she got the message right after Strength passed away!
To all my respects, Black ★ Rock Shooter the TV Series outdid themselves over the OVA with a compelling plot that might cringe the pain and suffering in the span of 8 episodes.
Yes, even with a short amount of time building up the plot to where we are at the final episode, it seems that Ordet not only fleshed-out the plot and stand on its own, but nailed this series as a heartwarming and gutwrenching series to watch…. Something that Gen Urubochi would be proud to see like what he did to Madoka Magica.
As we watched Mato hugging Yomi, it seems that things are returning to normal as we speak.
But if there any problems that may come to their doorsteps, they can experience pain together.
Yup, it seems that Saya-sensei is very happy now that Yuu has returned to the real world! I guess everybody earned a happy ending after numerous hardships…
Anyway, I guess it’s time to close the book of Black ★ Rock Shooter with Kohata finally having a boyfriend…
Saya-sensei smiling now that everything has gone back to normal…
And as for Yuu, she experience what is like to have friends to lean on!
Yes, this is the most heartwarming ending of Black ★ Rock Shooter ever… Thank you Ordet!
