Owarimonogatari Episode #12

Here’s Hitagi Senjougahara as she’s worried about her boyfriend Koyomi Araragi. Of course, Senjougahara should be worry about herself as there’s a tiger apparition on the loose.

While Tsubasa Hanekawa is taking care of that apparition as seen in Nekomonogatari: Shiro, I don’t think she’ll won’t last long!

Anyways, it’s time for the finale of Owarimonogatari where the first servant of Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade (a.k.a. Shinobu Oshino) challenged Araragi-kun to a duel to the death.

Oh yeah and it’s seems that he reverted to his samurai armor look, and got his original voice back instead of borrowing it from Koyomin.

Now for the duel itself as Izuko-san brought a shinai as an alternative to the katana “Kokoro-Watari”. Whoever get that and use it to strike the opponent is the winner.

Unfortunately, Koyomi is at a disadvantage as he has no martial arts experience nor possessing any superhuman strength as Araragi-kun relied on Shinobu Oshino and her vampiric powers passed down onto him.

But let’s move onto the duel where Izuko’s magic-imbued shinai was replaced by the Kokoro-Watari sword.

For Shinobu’s first servant, he’s excited to see Kokoro-Watari returned as he ditches his samurai armor and makes a quick dash to grab the katana, which he’ll cut Araragi-kun in a single swipe!

Speaking of Araragi-kun, he has no choice but to run towards his death. He should have withdraw the fight and proceed to save both Senjougahara and Hanekawa.

Then again, Koyomi has other plans as he makes a last-ditch effort…

And that’s by “tagging” the first servant in the literal sense. Yeah, he’s the “it” this time!

But thanks to Meme Oshino’s exorcist spell tags, Shinobu’s first servant stopped in it tracks!

Meanwhile, Koyomi got the Kokoro Watari sword from the first servant. Unfortunately, he won’t be using for that one…

…as the first servant melted away, leaving his face behind calling his master’s name.

Um Shinobu-chan, I hope you’re hearing this cry of your first servant!

Oh look, Shinobu Oshino is here but it seems that there’s no need to take her top off!

But yes, she’s here to see her first servant for one last time, who is named Seishirou Shishirui.

Then again, Shinobu decides to eat Seishirou’s face to end his suffering since he wanted to die in the first place.

It’s kinda disturbing to see Shinobu eating the face of her first servant, but that’s how she expresses her feelings of saying good-bye to her servant!

Anyways, that’s about it for Owarimonogatari as Koyomi Araragi won his duel against Seishirou Shishirui. And afterwards, Koyomi took the apparition killer sword to slay the tiger in order to save Tsubasa Hanekawa. As for Shinobu Oshino however, I guess she needs to be alone for lamenting the loss of her first servant.

While I wanted more of this, seems that Studio SHAFT is busy working on the Kizumonogatari film trilogy. Maybe in the future, Akiyuki Shinbo would adapt the final volumes of NisiOisiN’s Monogatari Series. But for now, it’s time to say farewell to Koyomi Araragi and his friends!
