This post is brought you by the girls that formed the group Aqours from Love Live! Sunshine!!
As you can see, these girls from Uranohoshi Girls’ High School will have big shoes to fill as it was announced from yesterday’s Nico Namahoso event that in addition to the group’s inclusion to the mobile game as well as the release date of their second single, Love Live! Sunshine!! will have an anime series three months after µ’s held their Final Live at the Akiba Tokyo Dome.
While I’m hyped for having a TV Anime Series for Aqours, seems that Sunrise and Lantis are a bit early on promoting that idol group. But in the meantime, feel free to read the voice actresses that would make up the idol group Aqours via the AFA Channel website.
01. Luck & Logic
By the way, since I’m blogging Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu on a regular basis, I feel that it’s time to add another show to watch. Anyways, this is Dogakobo’s latest anime series where it promotes Bushiroad’s latest trading card game named Luck & Logic.
So the story revolves around Yoshichika Tsurugi who was once a renowed Logicalist has turned into a generic supporting character… Until Athena found him which put Yoshichika back as the main character to fight Foreigners bent on destroying the world, something that his sister Shiori won’t want him to suffer from two years ago back in Hong Kong.
Gotta say that the visuals are good for the most part, but the only thing that hooked me onto watching Luck & Logic was Shiori’s fourth wall-breaking dialogue. Still, there’s more room for improvement on Luck & Logic, especially the rest of the characters like Yoshichika!
02. Osomatsu-san
Now let’s move onto Osomatsu-san as they keep their strong from on the 2nd Half, which is good since Studio Pierrot did a great job on keeping this series up to modern times while retaining Fujio Akatsuka’s own brand of comedy.
From turning the Matsuno sextuplets into female version of themselves to Jyushimatsu becoming an antibody to cure his brothers’ sickness, you’ll except more from Osomatsu-san and the rest of his brothers!
03. Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans
Moving onto Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans where Tekkadan are within the Earth Sphere. Also, here’s that big damn kiss from Mikazuki Augus towards Kudelia Aina Bernstein. Of course, he’s just teasing her that’s all! Since Tekkadan is within Gjallarhorn’s sphere of influence, expect some skirmishes and sabotage coming from that military group.
And speaking of sabotage, seems that there’s confirmation that Fumitan Admoss is working with the enemy, but her plan to assassinate Kudelia within the colony failed as she’s busy shopping, which puts Fumitan having second thoughts on letting Kudelia be killed by Gjallarhorn’s soldiers.
With that said, I hope Fumitan Admoss won’t do put Kudelia Aina Bernstein into danger again as Gjallarhorn is gearing up to crush the opposition, especially McGillis Fareed.
04. Grimgar of Ash and Fantasy
Here’s an Overlap Bunko light novel adaptation by A-1 Pictures where it’s a Sword Art Online clone with pastel-like visuals. But unlike SAO, the characters are a bunch of novice adventurers (except for a few like Renji) and they don’t know where they came from, nor they don’t have any idea that they’re previously play a Massive-Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game.
So while I like how Haruhiro and the rest are struggling to kill a single goblin as well as explore the world of Grimgar by themselves, the problem is that Grimgar of Ash and Fantasy will only promote the light novel series that is based on, so don’t expect another season of this series in the near future.
05. Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle
And it’s time to close this post with another GA Bunko light novel adaptation by Lerche, where it resembles Infinite Stratos with elements of both Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance and Kuusen Madoushi Kouhosei no Kyoukan.
Anyways, you have a former prince named Lux Arcadia who was undefeated when it comes to Drag-Ride duels, yet he doesn’t land an attack to his foe and so Lux was dubbed the “undefeated weakest” Drag-Knight. But when Lux met the current princess of the new kingdom named Lisesharte Atismata by accident and was challenged to a due, his life will change forever as Lux becomes the student of the Royal Knight Academy.
While Lerche previously did a light novel adaptation titled Unbreakable Machine-doll (which it wasn’t the best), I’m hoping that their adaptation of Undefeated Bahamut Chronicle would be decent despite being a generic harem anime with cool mecha. C’mon, they did an amazing adaptation of Gakkou Gurashi so I’m hoping that Lerche would do it right!
Well, that’s about it for this post… But wait, there’s more!
06. Oya-san wa Shishunki!
In fact, I’m gonna talk a little about Seven Arcs’ latest series about a cute landlady named Chie Satonaka. Sure that Chie-chan is cute, but I feel that the show is too short… Way too short!
Speaking of Seven Arcs, do I have to wait a year for a new anime project from that studio? But anyways, that’s about it and see ya in February!
