Hello and welcome to this wonderful anime series by Madhouse, where it’s not similar to previous works such as the Irresponsible Captain Tylor.
Never mind, it’s somewhat similar to Irresponsible Captain Tylor where Ikta Solork is a slacker who wasn’t interested in entering into military ranks, but he was forced to by his fiery-haired companion Yatorishino Igsem.
Along with Yatorishino or Yatori, Ikta is also joined by the big guy Matthew Tetdrich, sweet girl Haroma Becker, and the pretty boy Torway Remion.
Together, they’ll become either enlisted personnel or military officers depending on whether they perform well or not.
However, their journey of becoming soldiers for the Katjvarna Empire will be cut short when their ship got caught in a storm and it’s sinking.
While most of them are safe in their lifeboats, Ikta Solork has one person left to be rescued…
And that person is none other than the princess of the Katjvarna Empire, Chamille Kitra Katjvanmaninik.
Yes, she’s in the ship too but Princess Chamille made a wrong jump and went down to the sea. That’s unfortunate for her!
Don’t worry though s Ikta (or Ikky) grabbed Chamille’s hand and pulled her up to safety.
For a lazy bum, Ikta Solork doesn’t abandon people as he save them right away!
But now, he and his friends plus Princess Chamille are stuck in Kioka Republic which the empire are at war against them. Surrendering to Kioka would be safe but there’s no guarantee that they’ll stay in one piece, going back to Katjvarna on the other hand would be a risky one.
While Ikta and his buddies are making their tough decision on the next episode, I have to say that I have low expectations for this series. Sure that it has the potential to be good but since it’s based on a Dengeki Bunko light novel, I feel that Alderamin on the Sky will have 13 episode to promote the novels.
With that said, I’ll see you next week!
