Hey everyone as I’ll be covering this ONA series based on Key’s kinetic novel. Without further ado, here’s Planetarian!
Anyways, the story takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where cities became wastelands filled with anti-personnel tanks, shooting anyone down who trespass their territory.
Only a handful of humans called Junker can survive the harsh climate and this unnamed Junker will be the focus on this story, as he makes into the ruined department store to not only resupply but to take shelter from security robots!
There, the Junker encountered a humanoid guide robot named Yumemi Hoshino who invites him to watch the planetarium show.
While it’s been 30 years since Yumemi got a customer, little did she know is that most of the staff have left and no one is gonna fix the projector since it wasn’t used for a long time.
Also, the Junker wasn’t interested on watching the planetarium show anyway. I mean, he’s here to get food and supplies to feed the remaining human population.
Um Mr. Junker, Yumemi won’t attack you or anything so please put that grenade launcher down!
But you know what, Planetarian will be an interesting anime series and while I’m curious to see the Junker’s interaction with Yumemi Hoshino, I’m also keen to what happened 30 years ago when the world was engulfed in wars.
Anyways, I’ll see you on the next episode. But since Planetarian is aired on the internet, I feel that the release of Episode 2 will be much longer.
