Oh look, we got some bad news coming from Mari Ohara as Uranohoshi Girls’ Academy will be shut down and merge with another high school at Numazu City. Yeah, Dia Kurosawa can’t believe it!
While you’re thinking that it’s similar to the original Love Live! where µ’s are facing closure of their beloved Otonokizaka Girls’ Academy, I think the premise reminds me of an obscure anime series called Gakuen Utopia Manabi Straight, where Seioh Academy is facing closure and the threat of being merged by Aikou Academy.
Anyways, Aqours are making their first PV together because it’s time to save their beloved school as school idols.
Unfortunately, they have no idea of making one other than becoming fools in front of the camera.
By the way, here’s You Watanabe handling the video camera and let’s just say that she’s getting some bad footage due to their fellow school idols getting nervous and such.
But you know what, they’re just learning on how to become school idols so they’ll get better… or just ask their fellow classmates for help!
Meanwhile, I would like to introduce to Kanan Matsuura, Chika Takami’s childhood friend who is currently out of school as Kanan is helping out the family diving business.
However, there’s one thing that you should know about Kanan-chan…
It turns out that Kanan Matsuura, together with Mari Ohara and Dia Kurosawa, were once school idols. Unfortunately, they got a bit of a falling out in which Mari left towards overseas and Kanan take her absence to help her family, leaving Dia alone and become the student council president as the school idol club was disbanded.
But you know what, things have changed and the current school idol club has the momentum to not only become special, but also the potential to turn the situation around by attracting more students to save their school!
Now let’s go back to their PV creation as the found an idea on the first video. Yeah, looks like Uchiura is having a tradition of cleaning up the beach while sending lanterns up in the air!
In any case, seeing the local folks cooperating to help their town has sparked an idea for Chika-chan to make their first PV!
After all, they helped Aqours during the first live back in Episode 3 so it’s time to pay them back with their next song.
Combined with the lanterns flying up in the sky, Aqours’ first music video is the most beautiful thing ever!
I mean, their newest song called “Yume de Yozora o Terashitai” is so soothing to hear as well as having cute outfits fitting for this PV!
In any case, I’m hoping that their latest music video will attract some new students… unless they decided to enter the Love Live! School Idol Competition to ensure that more students will come to Uranohoshi Academy.
For now, Aqours are doing small steps towards success and I hope the third-year students will join them in the future! Well then, I’ll see you next week!
