This review post is brought you by Gundam Build Fighters Try where Sekai Kamiki and friends are back in the Island Wars special. The main highlight is Sekai’s Kamiki Burning Gundam gathering all of his friends’ powers to defeat a formidable Gunpla!
But the biggest surprise is this mysterious silver-haired girl, who happened to be the daughter of Aila Jyrkiäinen and Reiji! Still, I believe that Gundam Build Fighters will have more sequel ’cause it’s more popular to casuals and kids than hardcore viewers.
01. Mob Psycho 100
Let’s start this post with Mob Psycho 100 as Shigeo “Mob” Kageyama has gained allies like Dimple and Teruki Hanazawa upon beating them, rescued his brother Ritsu from the dark side upon gaining his own psychic powers, and destroyed an evil organization Claw… by transferring his powers to Arataka Reigen. Well, Mob did some amazing things, too bad that he destroyed one branch of Claw as the organization might beef up their strength into achieving world domination in the future.
But you know what, Studio Bones did a great damn job on adapting Mob Psycho 100 into a deranged, but awesome anime series that it has stunning animation and visuals, as well as having a good set of characters. Maybe in the future, Mob Psycho 100 will have another season much like Yusuke Murata and ONE’s One Punch Man, which it was announced that the anime series got Season 2 in the works!
02. orange
Moving past the insanity of Mob Psycho 100 with something somber as orange reached its conclusion. While Naho Takamiya got some help from Hiroto Suwa as he received the letter from his future self, Naho’s other friends such as Takako Chino, Saku Hagita, and Azusa Murasaka have joined to rescue Kakeru Naruse together from his demise.
Ultimately, friendship prevailed as Kakeru’s life is saved thanks to his true companions. Of course, the question on what the future holds for him and his friends ten years from now is unanswered, as Kakeru is still dead in the original timeline. Luckily, a film will be made to show the alternate timeline but you know what, Hiroto Suwa should deserve happiness instead of having his beloved being joyful by someone else. For those who watch some parts of the original timeline, Naho is Hiroto’s wife but I think the alternate timeline will see Naho and Kakeru as a married couple.
As for the TV series, I have to say kudos to Telecom Animation Film and TMS Entertainment for making a splendid adaptation. Let’s hope that their upcoming film will resolve the series plot!
03. B-Project: Kodou*Ambitious
Let’s go to TM Revolution and MAGES’ B-Project anime. I have to say that some of the members have resolved their own problems, but I feel that the staff at A-1 Pictures should explore the likes of Tomohisa Kitakado and Kazuna Masunaga on why they joined B-Pro in the first place.
Apart from that, the last three episode of this series is the most confusing of all and it started out with Sakutaro Yashamaru’s disappearance after announcing B-Project’s concert at the Japan Dome. Things got strange when the idol group got transferred to a rival recording company unexpectedly, which turned out that it was Yashamaru who arranged the transfer. And the reason why Yashamaru did that is because he hates Tsubasa Sumisora, as it turns out that the owner of Gandara killed his father 10 years ago. Therefore, Yashamaru wants to crush Tsubasa-chan by taking B-Project away from her!
Still, Yashamaru’s plan backfired as B-Project returned to Tsubasa Sumisora in time for the Japan Dome concert, so this series has a happy ending. Then again, the last episode was the most random one I’ve ever seen that I’m speechless to why it ever exist? Fuck this, it’s a bad show in the end!
04. TABOO TATTOO
Moving onto TABOO TATTOO where the second half is the most gruesome that happened on this series, with Brad Blackstone being swallowed by his Source while Touko Ichinose was killed by one of Princess Aryabhata’s servants. Yeah, Justice “Seigi” Akatsuka got angry about and Aryabhata is one step closer on rewriting the world… until his friends helped Seigi-kun at the last minute which the Void Maker used brought poetic justice to the princess!
Well, glad that Princess Aryabhata got what she deserved after giving hell to Seigi-kun and Bluesy Fruesy. But you know what, I feel that the 2nd half of TABOO TATTOO is rushed and while there are hints for a second season, I doubt that it’ll materialize in the future. It might not be the worst show, but it doesn’t look great either that it doesn’t convince me to read the manga as it was ending!
05. Amaama to Inazuma
Next up is Amaama to Inazuma which I picked up late in Summer and managed to watched it until the last episode.
I have to say that after finishing this series, Amaama to Inazuma is one of the most heart-warming shows, especially when Kouhei Inuzuka becomes a better cook for Tsumugi-chan. You may thank Kotori Iida, her classmate Shinobu Kojika, and Kouhei’s friend Yuusuke Yagi for helping him out on giving the joy of cooking!
Anyways, it’s a great anime series and I recommend this one. If only I blog it from the start…
06. Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn RE: 0096
And now, let’s end this post with Gundam Unicorn as Banagher Links and Audrey Burne have finally opened the Laplace’s Box, which revealed to be the original Universal Century charter. While the revised one was enacted after the terrorist attack in the Laplace space colony, the original charter held by Syam Vist has an extra law stating that “If one ever becomes a Newtype, then he/she shall have the priority to run the government”.
So with the Laplace Box’s revealed and Audrey Burne told everyone about it, the Earth Federation feared that there would be backlash in the future. However, Audrey Burne believes that a possibility of hope and understanding will come in later time and Banagher Links symbolized that possibility as he’s the ultimate Newtype.
Anyways, it was a great TV run of Gundam Unicorn but I wish Sunrise would add more scenes or even an epilogue after the final episode. Oh well, at least there’s more Gundam in Fall 2016!
With that said, I’ll leave you with the final shot of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn RE: 0096. Oh yeah and if Sunrise are making another Universal Century series, I’m okay with that!
