So after that out-burst from the previous episode, Rei Kiriyama is here again… in bed as he got a fever for roughly 3 to 4 days.
Ugh, not a good way to end this year after winning his match with Yasui-san. Also, would it be bad if stayed at his bed for longer periods? I mean, Kiriyama haven’t got a decent meal or didn’t have enough medicine to get rid of his fever.
Fortunately, the Kawamoto sisters are here to kidnap Rei-kun to their house…
…cure him with tender-loving care. Well, I have to say that Akari and her sisters Hinata and Momo still cares for Rei Kiriyama!
Even though he recovered from his fever after eating a bowl of egg porridge and some medicine, there’s one person who cares for him.
It’s none other than Rei’s adoptive father Masachika Kouda who cares about his step-son’s health than his own children.
Yeah, it’s sad that Masachika-san couldn’t support his biological kids, especially Kyouko where she became a rebellious teenager. Alas, there’s nothing we can do as gone with the old year…
…and in with the new as Rei-kun will spend his New Year’s Day with the Kawamoto family.
Honestly, he felt more welcome here than the Kouda residence as going back there would be painful for Kiriyama.
Also introducing on this episode is Aunt Misaki, who own a bar where Akari worked there as a hostess.
By the way, don’t tick her off ’cause Misaki-san is nasty as hell!
Still, she has a soft spot towards Rei-kun because he’s not only a professional shogi player, but because of supporting Akari most of the time! Also, Misaki-san is giving him New Year’s allowance even though he’s not part of the Kawamoto family.
Well, that’s about it for this week’s episode of Sangatsu no Lion as next Sunday won’t have another episode due to Kohaku Uta Gassen. It’ll return next year, but for now I’ll say Happy Holidays to everyone!
