Kuzu no Honkai Episode #01

This is another noitamina anime series made by Lerche, which is based on a manga by Mengo Yokoyari. Of course, this show aired a bit early as it was supposed to air tomorrow (in Japan) but in addition to this anime series, there’s also a live-action show which will air one week after this premiere.

Anyways, the series tells the story of both Hanabi Yasuraoka and Mugi Awaya. Sure that they’re dating since July…

Heck, they’re kissing when no one is looking. Basically, both Hanabi and Mugi are a couple and they’re compatible with each other… except that they don’t have feelings for one another.

Why? Because Yasuraoka and Awaya have feelings for someone else and they treat each other as substitutes. Yeah, doesn’t look lovely I should say!

I have to admit that the premise is good but I feel that Kuzu no Honkai is going downhill, due to the fact that the main pair has unrequited love and they can’t fall in love with each other as Hanabi and Mugi reserve their feelings to their respective special person.

Other that that, the presentation is great and I have to say that Lerche stepped up their game on this series. Still, their complicated relationship will have some challenges in order to get their true love, and I can’t wait for what’s in store on the next episode!

  2. I’m definitely intrigued by this but it sounds very, very messed up! I hope things turn out OK in the end?
