And so, Tanya Degurechaff has arrived at Berun to attend the imperial military academy and go up the ladder, because she rather fire incompetent people than fighting a war!
Meanwhile, here’s a character that might help 1st Lt. Degurechaff on moving up a rank.
This is Strategic HQ General Hans von Zettour and he has a conversation with Tanya…
…which she told General Zettour that there would be a world war and therefore needed a rapid-response mage battalion that will destroy the enemy with minimal losses.
Of course, it’s all lip-service from 1st Lt. Degurechaff just to impress the general, but Hans von Zettour was so impressed about Tanya’s proposal that he created it after her graduation.
Then again, there’s one skeptic who couldn’t believe that Tanya’s proposal would pass.
Yeah, Lt. Colonel Erich von Lehrgen is pissed that a world war would happen (which it did in real life) as well as the creation of a mage battalion which might be impossible to work, but it’ll become a force under Tanya’s command!
Speaking of Tanya Degurechaff, she has finally landed a job outside the battlefield… as a battalion organizer.
Yeah, she’ll be living the salaryman dream but organizing papers and recruiting mages will be a pain in the ass since 1st Lt. Degurechaff is all alone!
That’s until someone arrived to help her. It’s Viktoriya Ivanovna Serebryakov and she has finished officer training, yet we don’t know what her rank is.
Anyways, it’s gonna be a tough job for 1st Lt. Degurechaff on creating a fighting force that she proposed in the first place. All I can say is that Tanya shot herself in the foot… just a bit!
