This post is brought you by the main cast of Atom: The Beginning as the last two episodes will air this month alongside Sin: Nanatsu no Taizai. Expect some posts for both shows later down the line!
One more thing, I’m still watching Warau Salesman NEW. It’s just that I have some real-life commitments that my progress on finishing Fujiko Fujio A’s dark psychological thriller series.
01. My Hero Academia
Anyways, let’s start with My Hero Academia as Izuku Midoriya fights for his life against tougher foes like Shouto Todoroki, who still hates his father due to being treated as a tool to beat All Might. So while Midoriya still has the determination and endurance to stand toe-to-toe against Todoroki and become the number one hero, it wasn’t enough as Deku got knocked-out when Shouto used his fire abilities in addition to his ice powers. Well, that’s sucks!
Of course, we’ll like to know who won the U.A. High School’s sports festival. Well, it’s none other than Katsuki Bakugou as he defeated Shouto Todoroki when he didn’t use his fire powers. That’s so anti-climatic there and screw Bakugou, he doesn’t deserve to be the number one hero, but rather the number one villain because of his hair-raising temper and foul-mouthed attitude! Still, the U.A. High School’s sports festival is a blast to watch but Izuku Midoriya will have to control his quirk “One For All” so that he won’t break his bones just like his battle against Shouto Todoroki! As for Todoroki, he started to see his mother again after realizing that he doesn’t need for force himself on following Endeavor’s footsteps, but rather following All Might’s path on becoming a hero.
One last thing, it appears that the next arc will become a serious one as there’s a hero killer named Stain, which he maimed Tensei Iida or Ingenium. So yeah, it’s heart-breaking to see Tenya’s older brother having his hero career cut short. Still, it’s gotta be very interesting for the 2nd half now that a villain is on the loose and hunting down heroes like a madman!
02. Fukumenkei Noise
Next up is Fukumenkei Noise where Nino “Alice” Arisugawa and In NO Hurry to Shout! became the talk of the night during Rock Horizon. In fact, Nino improved a lot from a singer with berserker-like tendencies to a capable guitarist in addition of being the vocalist. Well, it’s all thanks to Momo Sasaki for giving Arisugawa the motivation to reach him out!
Anyways, it was a great end to this show by Brain’s Base as In NO Hurry to Shout! gained even more stardom than before. Unfortunately, the love triangle remains unsolved as well as both Momo Sasaki and Kanade Yuzurina’s issues towards their respective mothers.
03. Frame Arms Girl
Let’s move onto Frame Arms Girl where Gourai faced her toughest foe yet. You see, she’s facing Hresvelgr who beat her so much that Gourai almost suffered a mental breakdown. But thanks to her friends and some upgrades from Factory Advance, Gourai managed to defeat Hresvelgr who’s gone out of control after the company applied so many upgrades in order to make her stronger. Honestly, Factory Advance should be liable when it comes to upgrading their FA Girls to their extremes, as well as Ao Gennai’s electrical bills in which battles got so intense that it overload the power supply. Then again, it could be that they’re actually evil!
Anyways, I have to say that Frame Arms Girl did so much better than Busou Shinki from 5 years ago, due to the fact that this show got some interesting human characters like Bukiko and Ao Gennai. Oh, and let’s not forget that the Frame Arms Girls like Gourai, Baselard, and even the Materia sisters have some moments which I find it amusing, especially the Materia sisters and their sadistic tendencies. But you know what, I think Frame Arms Girl needs another season because c’mon, Kotobukiya is funding it to sell their toys to the viewers!
04. Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka Gaiden: Sword Oratoria
And finally, here’s Danmachi Gaiden: Sword Oratoria were Ais Wallenstein still proves that she’s the Sword Princess despite Bell Cranel achieving godlike status in the main series. Of course, it wouldn’t be possible without her friends, especially Lefiya Viridis when she aided Ais into defeating a floor boss.
So while it’s a good spinoff where J.C.Staff showed the other side of Ais Wallenstein, I’m still kinda bummed that Ais didn’t fought Revis as she’s making flytrap monsters to eat magic stones in order to summon spirit, especially those who are related to Ais’ mother Aria. On top of Revis, it appears that some gods like Ouranos have a hidden agenda apart from Freya. Maybe if J.C.Staff make another season, it’ll make sense for it all and I wanna see Ais kicking Revis’ ass down the line!
Anyways, that’s about it for the rest of the anime shows airing in Spring 2017. Since we’re already in Summer 2017, let’s have fun until September!
