Fall 2017: The end of the rest…

This post is brought you by Gundam Build Fighters: GM’s Counterattack. Basically, Sei Iori and his friends have returned for one last hurrah… until Gundam Build Fighters: Battlogue came around of course.

But hey, it’s nice to see the cast, including Reiji, getting back into action before they handed over to the new generation, which already happened in Gundam Build Fighters Try. Now if only Sunrise would make a new generation of Gundam Build Fighters.

Anyways, time to close the year with the rest of the anime shows airing in Fall 2017!

01. Osomatsu-san

Let’s start off with Osomatsu-san as the Matsuno brothers are lazying around as usual. But wait, seems that Todomatsu is missing as it turns out that he went to the United States, only to return as a more deranged version of Totty who’s out for their blood. Scary stuff!

In any case, I’ve enjoyed watching the first half of Season 2 as there are plenty of moments like Chibita finally getting his revenge on the sextuplets, Jyushimatsu becoming a dolphin while getting a disciple, and the aforementioned Todomatsu losing his shit after being treated poorly by his brothers. Anyways, I’m looking forward for the second half next year!

02. Konohana Kitan

Moving onto Konohana Kitan where it ends with the whole staff at Konohanatei celebrating New Year’s Day. For Yuzu, she felt that Konohanatei is a place to return to as Yuzu loved interacting with other guests, despite being clumsy and sometimes getting lost in another dimension.

On the other hand, Satsuki has become a friendly character but she’s still strict when it comes to doing things properly. Also, she decides to stay at Konohanatei for a while until there’s an opportunity to become a shrine maiden just like her sister Hiiragi. As for the rest of the cast, they got some moments like Okiku making friends with another doll and how Okami accidentally founded Konohanatei after meeting with a certain girl.

In any case, it’s an interesting anime series where you not only have cute fox girls and beautiful visuals that it felt surreal, but it also shows various Japanese folklore surprisingly enough. Anyways, it’s another great show by Lerche and I recommend on watching Konohana Kitan if you want to feel good.

03. Net-juu no Susume

Next up is Net-juu no Susume and man, we got ourselves a big development between Moriko Morioka and Yuuta Sakurai. After revealing himself as both Lily and his former character Harth, Yuuta Sakurai got a bit closer towards Moriko Morioka in which they become lovers. Well, almost because they’re starting out.

I have to say that it was an enjoyable experience watching this show as Moriko-san is being helped by Yuuta-san in both online and in real-life. While it’ll be a long time for Morioka to recover from her MMORPG addiction, getting some assistance from Sakurai is a start. Then again, Morimori-chan will get distracted by side-quests where she and her guild-mates must clear it in order to get those rare items, as well as that dreaded lottery spin where you might get more junk items than rare ones.

Still, Net-juu no Susume is an interesting show to watch and it’s recommended for those who are having social problems like being a NEET for example.

04. Himouto! Umaru-chan R

And now, let’s end this post with Himouto! Umaru-chan R as Umaru Doma spends her New Year’s Day with her friends. Yeah, they’re getting closer now that the main quartet are inseparable. Of course, there’s a new rival for Umaru’s affection for her brother Taihei in the form of Hikari Kongou, which she got attracted by Taihei that Hikari is calling him as “Onii-chan”. So yeah, seems that Umaru and Hikari will compete to see who’s the better sister for Taihei, even though the latter already had an older sibling.

With that said, it’s an improvement over the first season but I feel that Himouto! Umaru-chan will not get another season to coincide with the manga’s conclusion. Still, I have fun watching Umaru-chan and her antics!

And that’s about it for Fall 2017. I’ll see you next year for the final cour of the 2017 Anime Season! Oh yeah, and I’ll be finishing up Warau Salesman NEW before March 2018, so I apologize for procrastinating.
