Tsurune: Kazemai Koukou Kyuudou-bu Episode #02

Well, seems that Minato Narumiya got spotted by that cool guy from the previous episode. I guess Minato couldn’t help it but being astonished by his shooting form.

Anyways, this is Masaki Takigawa and together with his pet owl named Who, he shoots a hundred arrows every night. Wow, that’s some dedication coming from Takigawa.

But first, Masaki-san needs to treat Minato’s hand as he got some cuts after firing an arrow for a long time.

By the way, I forgot to tell you that Masaki Takigawa has target panic and while he’s still has it, it’s not severe compared to Minato Narumiya where he started having one back in middle school.

And speaking of Minato, here he is as Narumiya was one of the best archers during his time in Kirisaki Middle School and he’s about to fire his arrow during a national tournament.

But then, Minato Narumiya suffered a target panic during the tournament in which it not only cost his team the win, but Minato lost his will to take the sport again.

However, I feel that Minato will regain his groove after meeting Masaki Takigawa ’cause he has the same circumstances as Narumiya and he’ll help our young protagonist to fire his arrow again.

Meanwhile in Kazemai High School, the archery club is preparing to participate in a tournament after Tommy-sensei reinstate it.

Unfortunately, the boys and girls will have to compete as individuals and while the likes of Rika Seo are okay about competing solo, Seiya Takehaya still insists of competing as a team as he won’t participate in individual competition. Then again, it’s hard for Seiya to bring Minato back.

But let’s go back to Minato Narumiya for a bit as he went back to the shooting range to find Masaki Takigawa, only to learn that he’s not there.

Worst of all, one of the archers told him that Masaki Takigawa died a few years ago.

For Minato, seems that what he saw on that day was actually Masaki-san’s ghost. Oh my god, it’s spooky!

But at the same time, seems that Narumiya’s hopes of recovery has dashed now that Takigawa passed away a long time ago.

Anyways, let’s move onto the next scene where Minato and his father when to his mother’s grave to pay his respects. By the way, the reason why he took up archery is because of his mother.

In fact, Minato’s mother told him about “tsurune”, that twang sound produced by the bowstring when an arrow is released.

Because of that sound, Minato got hooked by the sport. Then again, he needs to make a recovery and- Oh wait, I forgot that Masaki Takigawa passed away!

With that said, Minato Narumiya begged Masaki-san not to leave by his side as Minato wants to learn more about him. After all, it’s sad to have Masaki-san pass onto this world.

But then again, we learned that Masaki Takigawa didn’t die as someone mistaken him for someone who passed away recently. Well, it’s good to know that this handsome guy didn’t go to the afterlife because it’ll be a shame.

Anyways, I have to say that Minato Narumiya will recover now that Masaki Takigawa is here to guide him.

Then again, it’s just the beginning of his road to gaining what he lost back in middle school. With that said, I’ll see you next time!
