Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These Episode #27

And now, we continue with the previous episode where then Rear Admiral Oskar von Reuenthal went to Odin to seek help from both Siegfried Kircheis and Reinhard von Müsel. Let’s hope that he succeed during this stormy night.

With that said, Rear Admiral Reuenthal is dissatisfied with the current Goldenbaum Dynasty where it reeks with corruption across the galaxy. Thus, Oskar needed someone like Reinhard who can change the system from within.

And speaking of Reinhard von Müsel, it appears that he accepted Oskar von Reuenthal’s plea as he’ll do anything to save Rear Admiral Wolfgang Mittermeyer from the injustice caused by nobles under Duke Otho von Braunschweig.

Of course, time is running out as Wolfgang Mittermeyer is being tortured by Baron Flegel and his men. What I’m worried is that Flegel’s goons might overdo it and kill the rear admiral.

However, Mittermeyer won’t go down without a fight as the rear admiral retaliated the arrogant baron despite his hands being tied to a chain.

Unfortunately, Wolfgang Mittermeyer made a little mistake of headbutting the baron as Flegel pulled his revolver to shoot the rear admiral. Honestly, I pray that someone would intervene.

Luckily, it appears that Oskar von Reuenthal has arrived just in time to save his dear friend as he gave a warning shot to Baron Flegel. Of course, he didn’t come by himself.

In fact, the rear admiral brought both Siegfried Kircheis and Reinhard von Müsel where they wanted to set Wolfgang Mittermeyer.

Of course, should Baron Flegel refused to comply with Reinhard’s wishes, he’ll gladly shoot baron in the heart at any given time. At this point, it’s clear that luck is on Wolfgang’s side.

And one more thing, it appears that Commodore Ansbach has arrived to tell Baron Flegel to restrain himself as Duke Braunschweig is scared that the scandal might blow out of proportions. Guess the duke is scared of losing his right to the imperial throne.

With that said, Wolfgang Mittermeyer is finally a free man as he and Oskar von Reuenthal swore allegiance to Reinhard von Müsel in their quest to reform the Galactic Empire through any means.

But even though Wolfgang Mittermeyer is a free man, the Imperial Navy will have to punish the rear admiral for killing a noble even though what Mittermeyer did was just.

So, Fleet Admiral Ehrenberg assigned Wolfgang Mittermeyer to the front lines where the rear admiral will serve under Reinhard von Müsel.

For the young admiral, having Wolfgang Mittermeyer to his side is beneficial for Reinhard von Müsel (now Reinhard von Lohengramm) where he’ll achieve greatness through military might.

Soon, Reinhard will gain competent allies in his quest to not only reform the entire empire, but also rule the entire galaxy. But that’s about it for this episode.

And seriously, I have to say that Wolfgang Mittermeyer and Oskar von Reuenthal are lucky to meet both Reinhard von Lohengramm and Siegfried Kircheis during the Klopstock Incident.

Of course, I have a feeling that there will be even more backstories from the Galactic Empire where most of Reinhard’s allies didn’t appear spontaneously.

With that said, I’ll see you next time where we’ll return to the Free Planets Alliance.
