It’s time for the Buddhist priests to ring in the new year where everyone is hoping for a good fortune for the next 12 months.
For Amane Fujimiya and Mahiru Shiina, they’re hoping for a great new year as neighbors, although it appears that Mahiru fell asleep as she’s too tired to see the first sunrise.
Anyways, since he can’t wake her up nor take her back to the apartment, Amane decides to let Mahiru sleep at his room. A good decision by the way as Fujimiya doesn’t want to be seen by anyone.
And speaking of Mahiru Shiina, it turns out that she pretended to be asleep on New Year’s Day. Of course, Amane Fujimiya didn’t do anything bad to Mahiru since he’s a gentleman… except for the time where he touched her cheeks.
Now then, looks like Amane’s parents have arrived for the winter holidays as Shuuto and Shihoko Fujimiya are here to check him out.
Oh yeah, and this is Mahiru’s first time meeting Shuuto-san as he thanked Mahiru Shiina for taking good care of their son.
By the way, it appears that Amane Fujimiya has a rough history since middle school.
I’m not sure if he’s a victim of bullies or that he’s actually a delinquent who pick up fights, but I can tell that Amane doesn’t want to get involved in serious trouble upon entering high school.
Now then, it’s time Amane Fujimiya and Mahiru Shiina to visit the local shrine in New Year’s Day.
While Mahiru looks cute in her kimono, Amane’s appearance is quite different where he looked like some cool guy from another school.
Anyways, they do their usual routine of praying to the gods for a good new year, drink amazake, and try to earn a good fortune from the omikuji box.
Now then, it’s time for Shuuto and Shihoko Fujimiya to head back home as they’ll return for summer vacation.
They want see in the next few months to see Amane’s relationship with Mahiru has improved, although I have to say that they’ll remain platonic for the time being.
That’s because there are rumors where Mahiru is dating with a cool guy from another school. Then again, the truth is that Mahiru is just being accompanied by Amane who changed his appearance in New Year’s Day.
As for Amane Fujimiya, he doesn’t say anything regarding Mahiru Shiina. C’mon, he wants to keep his relationship with Shiina a secret after all!
