Let’s begin with a flashback where Adam Sargant met Iris many years ago. Under the orders from his mother Lizbeth, Adam was supposed to torture Iris by placing curses and toxins to her body.
However, Iris prove her defiance by headbutting Adam. This really hit the nail in the head for Adam as rather than being used as a tool for his mother, Adam decides to live for himself as he ran away together with Iris and start a family with the birth of Philomela.
What an interesting love story between Adam and Iris where despite the latter asserting her defiance to the former, Adam found a special person that he’ll live together until the day he dies.
And after eloping to a faraway place, Philomela Sargant was born. For Adam and Iris, having their own child and live peacefully is the greatest thing ever.
While it’s nice that even though parenting is hard, Adam and Iris cherish every moment as they told Alcyone to record everything until the end of their lives. Unfortunately, their peaceful lives will cut short.
Lizbeth’s soldiers have arrived to take Adam back to the mansion. Then again, he won’t give into his mother’s demands without a fight.
But the worst part is where the matriarch of the Sargant household sends another group of goons to kidnap Philomela and turn their daughter into a hostage.
Of course, Iris won’t let anyone touch her daughter as she told Alcyone to take Philomela away from Lizbeth’s men as she tries to fend them off.
But let’s return to Adam Sargant where he decides to put a bullet to his head as the biggest act of defiance towards his wicked mother Lizbeth.
Even if he kills himself, I think Lizbeth will find a way to resurrect his son and use Adam as an extension of her powers.
Meanwhile, it appears that Iris couldn’t fend off Lizbeth’s henchmen no matter how much bullet she put straight to their bodies. Of course, she manage to slow them down so that Philomela and Alcyone can finally escape…
…only for the goons to catch them, thus the years of misery for Philomela has begun where she’s being used and abused by Lizbeth Sargant. What a tragic ending to this love story.
Now let’s move onto the present and remember the woman that appeared in the previous episode? That’s the Winter Goddess as she’s here to see Chise Hatori.
Why? Because she wants Chise’s body as a sacrifice, but Elias Ainsworth won’t hand over his bride to someone else.
Of course, Chise’s desire to save Philomela Sargant, the Winter Goddess decides to help the sleigh beggy for the time being, although she expects Chise to give something precious sometime later.
Now then, it appears that Lizbeth’s henchmen tries to stop Chise’s chant, but Elias create a wall of thorns that protect his bride until she finish her chant.
But thanks to Chise Hatori, it appears that the Winter Goddess is ready for battle where she summons an army of soldiers.
Not only that, but the Winter Goddess changed her hair into bloody red as she reveals herself as Morrigan.
While she’s carrying a child in her belly, Morrigan is a dangerous goddess who lusts for war wherever she goes.
And sadly for Lizbeth’s henchmen, it’s pretty much a death sentence where they’re slaughtered without any resistance.
Worse of all? They ran away in fear as they can’t defeat Morrigan. Still, I’m glad that Morrigan lend her strength at this crucial time.
Anyways, it’s time for Elias Ainsworth to take out the students and Fabio Zaccheroni from his body. Glad that their sanity is kept intact.
Now comes the hard part where the Sargant mansion is over there and it’ll be very difficult to save Philomela as there are various traps inside the house.
Oh, and let’s not forget various monsters guarding the mansion as the wolfwoman has returned. Unfortunately, the wolfwoman made a mistake in taking out Zoe Ivy’s headphones as he’s gonna freeze the wolfwoman in place.
While I commended his bravery, I’m worried that Zoe Ivy might fall into battle as none of his classmates will back him up. And don’t expect Fabio Zaccheroni to help Zoe either as he has some hidden agenda.
Anyways, we’re reaching towards the climax of this story arc as Chise Hatori will confront the matriarch of the Sargant household and rescue Philomela by any other means. Well then, I’ll see you next time!
