Seiyuu Radio no Ura Omote Episode #09

Let’s begin with Ringo Kagasaki where she already heard about Yasumi Utatane having a terrible performance at the recording booth.

While it’s unfortunate that Yasumi got depressed over her blunder, it’s not the end of the world for this voice actress.

And speaking of Utatane, she shows off her current voice acting skills as Yasumi plays the antagonist Shirayuri. Unfortunately for her manager, Kagasaki commented that Utatane is trying too hard to portray a rival to Yuhi Yugure’s main character Sakuraba.

With that said, it appears that Yasumi Utatane will need to unwind for the time being as Ringo Kagasaki suggested to spend the holidays with her family and friends. I mean, Kagasaki doesn’t want Utatane to push herself during Christmas.

But yes, looks like Yasumi Utatane (or Yumiko Satou) will have to take a rest and spend her winter break with her classmates at a karaoke bar.

And speaking of Yumiko Satou, it appears that she’s having a duet with Chika Watanabe (or Yuhi Yugure) even though Chika-chan doesn’t like to do extra stuff such as singing and dancing.

Still, they put an amazing show as everyone is thrilled to see Yumiko and Chika-chan. This includes this otaku who’s cheering hard on the latter.

Afterwards, here’s Chika Watanabe where she wants to give a Christmas present to Yumiko Satou.

It’s a Blu-Ray copy of Iron Goldra or Kurogane no Goldra, one of Kamishiro’s finest mecha anime where Chika-chan (or Yuhi) got inspired into joining the seiyuu industry in the first place.

But why though? That’s because Watanabe doesn’t want her rival getting left behind by the wayside. Man, I’m truly impressed on how honorable Chika is.

Speaking of Chika Watanabe or Yuhi Yugure, it appears that she’s eating pancakes with lots of whipped cream.

I have a feeling that she won’t eat the pancakes as Yuhi spends her time eating the cream instead.

After a visit at a family restaurant, it’s time for Yasumi Utatane to watch Iron Goldra for not only research, but also entertainment.

Of course, entertainment is very important where Yasumi or Yumiko doesn’t need to think about her role. All she needs is to have fun watching mecha anime.

Now then, after binge-watching Iron Goldra during the winter break and then touching a bit of grass, it’s time for another recording session where Yasumi Utatane has suddenly improved her acting.

It goes to show that she doesn’t need to try her hardest to fit into the character as Utatane will have to put on Shirayuki’s cloak and act it out, all while having a clear mind and body.

Oh yes, here’s Ringo Kagasaki where she’s impressed on Yasumi’s improvement during the recording session. I guess there’s no need for Utatane to do another take.

In any case, looks like the veteran voice actors are surprised by Yasumi’s improved voice acting, but I’m worried about Sugishita-san’s reaction as he’s watching Utatane’s performance as Mei Shirayuri.

Well, it appears that Sugishita-san is satisfied with the result, although he wants Yasumi Utatane to take up a notch higher until she can perfect her role as the rival character.

This prompted Utatane to do another take of the previous episode which I’m hoping that it’ll be available in various streaming sites or even the Blu-ray release. Still, I’m really glad that she’s doing her best out there and I have to thank Yuhi Yugure for helping her rival out.

Anyways, Yasumi’s seiyuu career is starting to gain a footing so I’m hoping that Utatane won’t hit a snag. I’ll see you next time as Seiyuu Radio no Ura Omote has 3 episodes to go!
