Let’s begin this episode with Aoi Inuyama where her aunt gave her a lightweight road bicycle that her father used to ride a lot. Some say that Aoi’s father was once a keirin biker back in the day.
Regardless, Aoi rides the lightweight bicycle and while Nadeshiko would benefit from riding this road bike, I think Inuyama got the hang of it on her first try.
But then, Aoi Inuyama got too comfortable with her new bike that she rode further away from her house.
Eventually, Aoi end up meeting with Chiaki Oogaki near the Nambu Ide Campsite where she rode 30 kilometers from her home.
Heck, even Oogaki is pretty surprised that her friend went the the camping site via her lightweight road bicycle. But anyways, it’s time for Inuyama to head back home ’cause her family is worried about her.
Except that Aoi’s new bike got a flat tire that she calls her dad for help. Well, looks like she’ll have to stay somewhere for one night but man, I’m impressed on how Aoi got further with only her road bike.
Oh yeah, Chiaki Oogaki offered a drink to Inuyama. Wait, is Chiaki serving that spiced Saratoga Cooler to-
Oh, Aoi-chan got duped into drinking Chiaki’s Saratoga Cooler. Well then, I hope Aoi Inuyama is having a great time with Chiaki Oogaki at the Nambu Ide Campsite.
Meanwhile, let’s move onto Rin Shima where she’s eating dessert with the Kagamihara sisters. And by the way, Shimarin recommended in visiting the Nirasaki Fujii Park where it has a few selection of locomotives.
For Nadeshiko Kagamihara, she’s pretty excited to go there someday. Also, there’s one more episode to go so I think a visit to the Nirasaki Fujii Park will be reserved for another season.
But now, it’s time for the finale for this episode as Sakura took both Nadeshiko and Rin to a place where they’ll see something amazing.
This is the Oigatayaki in which volunteers light up bonfires at the mountains to form a torii.
While it’s not as prominent as the Daimonji festival, Shimarin is pretty fond of seeing the Oigatayaki festival ever since she saw one as a young girl.
In any case, it’s a nice way to end this penultimate episode as the girls see the stunning view of the Oigatayaki festival. But what about Aoi Inuyama?
Well, her father managed to pick her up. Oh yeah, he’s gonna replace the tires on Aoi’s road bike but there’s one problem…
You see, Aoi’s father didn’t rode a lightweight road bicycle back when he’s a young guy, meaning that Aoi-chan got fooled by her own aunt.
